Cement Company of Northern Nigeria (CCNN) operates a 2million metric tonnes per annum cement plant, with two lines of 500,000 tonnes and 1.5million tonnes per annum, situated in Kalambaina, Sokoto State. CCNN increased its capacity to 2million metric tonnes per annum after a successful merger with Kalambaina Cement Plant in August 2018.

 

Key Information


1962 - CCNN was incorporated.

1967 - Commenced production with an initial capacity of 100,000MT.

1985 - Installed additional 400,000MT production line.

1993 - Listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange in October 1993.

1993 - BUA Group through its holdings in Damnaz Cement Company Ltd becomes a majority shareholder in Cement Company of Northern Nigeria (CCNN).

2015 - BUA Group commences plans to build a new plant of 1.5million MT capacity in Kalambaina, Sokoto.

2018 - Kalambaina Cement Line 1 was commissioned and its merger with CCNN was completed in December 2018.

2019 - The contract to build a new 3million mtpa plant was signed in January 2019.
